Looking back: workshop Financial literacy education

On June 18, 2009, a workshop on education in the field of financial literacy under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of MU, MŠMT, MF and cnb organized by the Esf MU Institute for financial market took place at the Faculty of Economics and Administration in Brno.

The aim of the workshop was to provide, in particular, additional and expanding information on financial literacy standards (FG) and framework educational programmes (FEPs) for primary and secondary education, to present FG teaching degrees for teachers, to share past experience in financial education and to introduce FG standards into school educational programmes (SEP) and to focus on the preparation of primary school, secondary school and university teachers for FG teaching. The workshop was attended by almost 100 people, including about 80 teaching staff of primary, secondary and higher education institutions. The other participants were representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and its directly managed organizations (National Institute of Vocational Education, Research Institute of Education), Ministry of Finance and Czech National Bank.

In the unofficial part of the workshop, there was also a commercial presentation of teaching aids suitable for teaching in the field of financial education.
